When Mom or Dad Can’t Stay Home

What Are the Options?

Benefits of Senior Living
Sometimes physical or cognitive conditions make it impossible to stay safe at home. I only work with reputable Assisted Living or Memory Care Communities and Group Homes that are experienced in making seniors’ transition as smooth as possible.

Benefits of Senior Living Include:

  • Regulated Care – with a plan based on individual needs
  • Experienced Staff – knowledgeable in working to make residents happy and comfortable
  • Medication Management – to regulate meds and track changes directed by physicians
  • Prepared Meals – taking diet and preferences into consideration
  • Housekeeping – to keep home clean and sanitized
  • Activities – so seniors look forward to each day
  • Socialization – for opportunities to make friends

COVID-19 Community Safety Protocols

Given the congregate nature and population in Senior Living communities and group homes, there is a higher risk for COVID 19 spreading among residents.

State and local officials have placed restrictions on communities regarding group activities and communal dining.

When I talk to Managers at Assisted Living communities, I know there are differences in how they handle dining, activities, and quarantining residents who have been out for medical purposes or trips.

I can share with you some of the differences I see, so we can take this into consideration when you make a decision in finding a living environment that is safe and meets your needs.
